rangeme101What do you use to protect your Apple Watch? Cases, covers, screen or bands?
I’ve decided to purchase an Apple Watch Series 3. I’ve been a Casio G-Shock wearer for decades. I want that kind of protection for the Apple Watch. What have you guys used and like or didn’t like? I’ve searched and found a few things that look promising but would like some sigforum feed back. Main concern is scratching screen area and aluminum case.
Thanks.

fpuhanI've had my Apple Watch Series 1 since it was first released in 2015 (38mm, stainless steel, sapphire crystal display). I've never, not once, tried to use any sort of "protection" with it, and it has traveled far and wide, suffered a number of knocks and bumps, and I even dropped it once, and it shows no signs of wear. I don't believe they offer that model any longer, but the series 3 is available with the "tougher" specs (vs. aluminum case, Ion-X glass).
A couple of years ago I bought a case for my phone, since I once dropped a phone and cracked the back (NOT the glass!), and I'm glad I did. But I've never felt the need to protect my watch. It's a pretty rugged piece of technology.

vandrvI have the original Apple watch in stainless with the sapphire crystal. I wear it everyday and am not particularly gentle with it. It has never had any kind of cover on it and it looks pretty much new.

06wrbI would recommend some sort of protection. I just bought the Apple Watch Series 3 2 months ago and cracked the screen somehow yesterday. Not sure what happened but it cracked around the outside all the way around. It is still working though. Did a live chat with Apple and they want $289 to repair. Not happening. Probably should have looked for a case of some sort beforehand but I didn't think it would be an issue.
