I don't expect a large response, but I am having pillow issues. Too hard, too soft, too freaking hot. I use a Purple mattress and have seen the Purple pillows at the store. To the hand they feel promising but at the price I gotta be sure. Anybody?

Not a Purple either, but with memory foam and holes to reduce pressure on the ears. It has a removable piece to make it thinner.

My dermatologist told me that as a “side” sleeper, pressure on the ears reduces circulation to them and that can lead to problems. To what extent that may be true I don’t know, but I’m happy with the pillow.

Maybe the "problem" is that you'll stop listening to your dermatologist?

Yeah, now that I researched the issue, I’m certain she has no idea what she’s talking about. Roll Eyes

I have one and love it, bought one for the wife and my son stole it so had to buy another.

I also recommend the Columbia cooling pillows, they are slightly firmer and bigger. I have one of each and kind of swap them as I always sleep with 2.

Yep. Big fan here. Bought two of the Harmony pillow. It's like they have a built in spring somewhere and always fluffs back to where it should be. It also sleeps a lot cooler than memory foam pillows and are never stiff as a brick like memory foam.

So, 2 families are using the Purple pillow and the results are good. I appreciate your time to answer. Lot of money for a pillow, and, non-returnable.

Thank you.

I recently bought a Purple Pillow from a local Amazon return auction site reseller for $40. I have the Harmony medium.

I went in blind and never even touched a purple pillow before. At first touch I thought it was way too soft for my liking but after using it I was pleasantly surprised. I previously used a memory foam pillow which was much more dense. I am very happy for the price I paid.

Both Purple and Amazon show free returns for the pillow.

I've liked mine enough that I've thought about buying the mattress.

It's worth checking out in person because for each pillow you have low, medium, and tall. I'm a side sleeper so I went with tall, but unless you wedge the pillow under your shoulders, that thickness isn't the greatest if you're on your back watch TV.

Well if she’s right at least you won’t be able to hear her say I told you so. Wink

My oldest son had one that looks like a giant purple waffle (very flat with grid pattern). He loves it. The other three of us think it's horrible. The rest of us got Coop Home Goods adjustable pillows. You get an extra bag of foam to customize your pillow. We've all had our pillows 5+ years. They seem to wear well.
