Happy Anniversary to all present and former soldiers.

If you're goin' through hell, keep on going.
Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it.
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there.

I went back to the Army Museum at Fort Belvoir today for the birthday. An enjoyable time, great exhibits, and they welcomed this retired Squid. Smile May all the troops get hot chow today and hear from family and friends if deployed.

I am thoroughly enjoying the parade coverage on Newsmax with Carl Higby.
So nice to see this parade.

Thank you President Trump, God Bless our armed forces and God bless the United States of America!
This makes me proud.

This would never have happened under the previous hate America administration.

Watching the coverage, love seeing the hardware but Holy Mary mother of GOD, is that what passes for marching (drill) these days?

I mean “Pass and Review” in front of the Commander in Chief in the first US military parade EVER and they are all just schleppin’ down the street. Out of step, heads bobbing all over. Crap, I’ve seen ping pong balls in the surf in better sync.

I seriously flashed back to MCRD and Senior Drill Instructor Staff Sgt. Hathaway screaming ”Hippity hop MOB STOP!” before launching into a violently profane and epithet laced tirade questioning our desire to become Marines, our intelligence, and even our mother’s ability to positively identify our fathers before we were made to unblouse out trousers, put our covers askew and then double timed to the nearest pit for punishment.

Other than that, I’m loving it!

I have never served. I’ll let those who have worn the uniform comment as they will. They’ve earned it. I haven’t.

That being said, I am proud of them.

Awesome. President loved getting the 250th anniversary flag flown in DC presented to him. You could tell that was an incredibly meaningful thing to him. Go Army!
