Hey all-

I am at my wits end. I am trying to ship a jug of pistol powder to Montana. UPS apparently changed the rules and won't accept from an individual, not at a hub or Customer Service Center. They told me that "Hazmat certification is required" , you have to have your own log book and forms, etc.
I have tried freight forwarder services without any luck.
I am out of ideas. Help?

Bruce

Hang it up as far as shipping powder. Primers are also out, but primed cases are ok - go figure? Roll Eyes

One of the questions they ask is if it’s dangerous or flammable....so that’s a no-go at this station.

I just don’t see how it’s worth it for a private individual to ‘try’ to ship powder. The stakes are high with any untruthful attempts.

I would list such stuff for local pickup or dispose of it on the lawn. The few $$ isn’t worth the potential hassle.

What type & how much are we talking?

Yeah, I have no interest in seeing the inside of a federal prison over a few dollars. It's a legitimate shipment or I will sprinkle it on my cornflakes.

8 lbs of pistol powder isn't worth messing with the postal inspector over.

It should sell on Armslist, if a reasonable price. I’ll bet a few in NV want a stocked bunker.
