I use the straight bits quite a bit for general router things, hogging out wood freehand, or making nice clean grooves with a fence. Please include me.

I recently had to drag out the 100lb (or so it feels like) 1/2-inch shaft router because the 1/4" shaft version walked off.

The 3HP does cut faster than the Bosch colt, but it throws sawdust all over the shop.
