I’m not sure how we went from looking at used Sequoias in the $30k range for me to a new Sequoia Capstone for the wife at damn near 3x that much, but we did. It seems like they got the engine sorted out and we will be doing oil changes at 5k and not 10k intervals. The wife traded in her Lexus NX which she loved. We looked at the Lexus equivalent but it was a eye watering $120k.

Not a large fake Christmas tree or small motorhome then, but rather a ‘26 Toyota Sequoia. Nice!

This was my first thought as well. Even when I could afford to do so, dropping twice the price of my first house on a vehicle would give me heart palpitations.

Congratulations, we bought the wife a 25’ 4Runner Limited. She is enjoying it.

I’ll have to extend the garage I guess.

What did they finally determine was the culprit? I recall at first they thought it was from improper cleaning of debris from the block.

That’s seems to be what the issue was and mostly affecting the Tubdras but there were issues with the Tacomas as well. With 22’ Sequoias being $50k or more it seemed to make sense and there was a good incentive from Toyota and the dealer. We were $10k off MSRP and we were given what we wanted on the wife’s Lexus. I’ll put some pictures up someday. First road trip and we’re getting over 17 mpg doing 80mph.

Yeah 22' Sequoias are a bit more reasonable, but still XL by most measures! Razz
