gearhoundsHe died what he loved doing...just not yet (paragliding)
I look forward to the vids of the inevitable pancaking into the ground and collisions with unforgiving canyon walls.

slosigThey are very confident in their “ships” and their ability to “wear” them. Based on this video the confidence doesn’t look misplaced, but they are cutting it a lot closer 5hsn I’d have any interest in doing.
I’ve sailed ridges in gliders - it is a rush feeling like you could reach out and touch the face even though your wingtip is several feet away (or several tens of feet away), you are flying parallel to the ridge, and when close it is to a near vertical face with plenty of clear air below you.

scot818My son just told my yesterday about a YouTube star called the king of random that was killed in a paragliding accident. I think someone here on Sig Forum mentioned him about a year or two ago and I sent the link to my son. It sounds like a tragic accident but it looks like it should be obvious that sooner or later something bad is going to happen.

StramboWow, I had no idea para-gliders could be so fast and maneuverable!
I'd love to try it myself...not the crazy canyon "died doing what I loved" way....just regular flying which should be pretty safe.
