Just checked with the family. It's exactly enough to cover all expenses, and leave enough over for him to take a week off work for bereavement (maybe more depending on the final cost for flowers). She's already retired due to health and their daughter his doing distance learning due to COVID.

I can't thank everyone enough, your donations which may have seemed insignificant to you, means the world to one of my best friends in the world and a good family. Salt of the earth type of people, people you'd be proud to call your friends, and would help you at the drop at a hat, even if it meant great sacrifice on their part. Enough rain drops can eventually fill an ocean. I'm eternally grateful to everyone here and Para for making an giant exception.

Thank you SIGforum, it's truly an honor to be a member here and part of the brotherhood.

'We are here for you.'

'That's what friends are for.'

'If you can't ask us, then who?'

Prayers Sent for comfort at these times if possible.

I have been to only one remembrance of life for a situation like this. I knew the young man’s Father thru business relationship. The remembrance of life really seamed to help the Family out. The young man’s name Scott. He was in his early 20’s. All his friends had much to say about how Scott’s house was always where they hung out a lot at and joined the family for dinner on occasions. Many good things were said about Scott’s parents. Scott’s mom even printed Scott’s favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe on the remembrance pamphlet with high school pictures. I think that it really lifted them some hearing they did a good job of parenting. The rest God will have to answer. I was thanked later by Scott’s dad for being there even though I did not know Scott. Just being there to support the family.
