parabellumElection Day 2026
Let's cool it with the gloom and doom cynicism, please.
There are valid concerns, of course, and we all know it, but there's no need to be spreading that stuff in this thread tonight.
If there's any funny business, you can have at it tomorrow. For now, let's keep a hopeful tone.

armedmdWife and I voted around noon today. Not many present at our precinct. Photo ID was required.

jljonesLearned something new today. In Kentucky if you “assist” someone in voting (IE go to the booth with them) you must fill out a form before being allowed in the booth. I saw a lady get pissed over it.

vthokyFoxNews is reporting Mark Warner will get a fourth term here in Virginia.
Ugh.
Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around.

armoredIf you ever wonder what "pissing in the wind" feels like, move to Chicago and vote Republican.
I mailed in my ballot last week.

whanson_wiI was voter #195 in my Town tonight. There's only about 300 registered voters. The turnout exceeds that of presidential elections.

I would like to apologize to anyone I have *not* offended. Please be patient. I will get to you shortly.

ArtieSI'm sorry, Georgia. Looks like you are stuck with that rectum Ossoff for another 6 years. I really thought you had a decent shot of getting rid of him.
Maybe that was wishful thinking, as I hate that fucker as much as Chris Murphy in Connecticut.

BassamaticWe voted this morning around 8:AM. Local fire station a few miles down the road. Not real busy, we were out of there in 10 minutes. The wife had to run an errand this afternoon and when she drove by she said the parking lot there was jammed.
This is Missouri so we will be pretty much all red. No major candidates this election.

You have to remember most of us don't live in Ohio. What does "flipped" mean? Who won what?

sigspecops52% of votes in and Talarico has a big lead over Paxton, 59% to 38%. What happened? It’s insane that he’s that far ahead.

sjtillYeah, I honestly don’t get Texas here.
Ohio: wouldn’t feel awful about Ramaswamy losing, because I think he’s a slimy jackass.
Glad to see Byron Donalds win in FL, but holy cow, by 1%?? WTH?
South Carolina Senate race going Dem???
I honestly shake my head at the public turning so dramatically against Trump when the economy is strong, the Iran war is going (slowly) our way; inflation was due to Biden.

Carpentermaass84Yeah... the only rational explanation for what is happening is widespread fraud. There is absolutely no way a democrat can lead in Texas. A lot of this is Bondi's fault as she failed to hold anyone accountable for 2020. The night is not over and we still have plenty of fight left.

jaaron11The Texas race is actually fairly simple, IMO. Ken Paxton is one of the worst candidates that Republicans have ever thrown out. I don't think Texans want James Talarico, I think they are just sick of Paxton's sleaze and blatant corruption.
