I'm a huge Trump/Republican fan have voted straight ticket for years, and did in this election, but. I drive home from work, stop to fill my SUV up with gas, but can't, pump stops me at $100. Stop at the grocery store and spend $550 for 2 of us. Major pisses me off. This is the world of so many people, their not watching fox or caring about anything in Iran, in their world their fucked. That's all they care about. I've been telling my wife for months that what happened a couple nights ago would happen for these 2 reasons alone. Most people are stupid.

What needs to be remembered about any Texas explanation of events are these data points.

This gave all the country club republicans who dont like dirty but necessarily effective politics a reason to either stay home or nobly switch teams to Talarico.

In the end we Texans 2A supporters need to raise our point, we will take our whooping but send a message that in Texas we support the 2A. Nationally this occured to Bill Clinton in his midterm after AW ban/midnight basketball was pushed through. Many conveniently like not to recognize the contribution from RKBA in '94 flipping House after something like 50 years to the republicans.

We need to highlight that pro-RKBA Texas voters did our thing.
The message is dont backslide on 2A when the heat is on.

The irony is that we handed the country to the communists in large part because of the price of a gallon of gas. The leftists thought gasoline was the enemy, and now, cheap gas is their entitlement for the time being. Beginning in January, the communists have control over the regulator, Texas Railroad Commission, that oversees the largest oil field in the United States as well as the pipelines that bring that oil & gas to market.

I'm not going to make any dire predictions, but I feel bad for my peers supporting West Texas projects or operations.

Fortunately, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals is the most sane Federal Court in the US so there is a backstop for the inevitable regulator overreach. It's a slow backstop, but it's been solid for both 2A and oil & gas.
