kramdenGolf Buddy GPS watch
Bought one from Golf Buddy. Took it to 3 different golf courses. Searches and searches for a signal. Over an hour, nothing. Finally sent it in to GB for repair. Cost me $14.35 for shipping and insurance. They had it a month but finally got it back. Excitely took it to my regular course then 2 others. NOTHING....same crap. The return receipt said nothing as to what was wrong or what they did to fix it. I sent an email asking what they did and also told them it was still not picking up a signal. No reply. So in my opinion do not waste any money on Golf Buddy GPS watches or any other insturment they make. JUNK and zero customer service!

petrI have a Garmin. Friends have Garmins. I recommend Garmin to anyone that asks. None of us have had to contact Garmin about our hand held gps or watches. They are all reading the same yardage, side by side, on the courses we play.

snorisI’ve heard ups and down about Golf Buddy. I and most of the people I play with use Bushnell GPS units.

KMitch200Thanks for the heads up.
There’s so many options now for GPS units it’s surprising one company would blow off a customer.
If your buddy has a GPS get a laser rangefinder and vice/versa.

jhe888I like laser rangefinders. No satellites to worry about.

You're right. Previous watch was a Garmin and it was great. But was getting old and not charging well but it served me a long time.. Thought I'd try a Golf Buddy....big mistake.

Haha.
I have the Garmin watch and really like it. I'm a 9 index and almost never go for the pin, except when my ego takes over, so a measurement to the middle of the green is all I need.
