I have a 2011 that I use for burning cds and music things, it was one of the last with a built in cd/dvd burner. I have a 2019, it's great, except for the keyboard.

13" mid-2012. It's the exact vintage that has chafing problems that cause the hard drive cable to fail eventually. I've had the cable replaced twice since 2015.

Writing from a mid 2012 MB Air. Had another just like it that I just gave to my son. He put a new battery in it and it is rocking and rolling. My brand new 13" MB Pro is in my office sleeping for the night. Ha

This one is a 2012 MBP with 16 GB ram and two 2 GB HDs. Can't say I'm fond of soldered in/fixed ram.

Mine is a Late 2013 13" MBP, I have no intention of replacing it anytime soon. I love the form factor and the performance is still spot on.

Mid 2012. Old, but could update to Catalina, which makes it a great partner to the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Up until last year when the power supply went out, my 1986 Macintosh SE30 was still functional. I haven't looked at replacing the power supply.

So, my oldest current running Mac is a 2010 polycarbonate white MacBook.

My MacBook Pro is late 2012, but my main computer is a late 2013 iMac.

I have a 2010 MBP I keep at work for the occasional thing I need a Mac for instead of my &^%$# work PC. I also have a 2007 MacBook (white) that I loaded Raspbian on just to talk to my Raspberry Pi - it’s the CUPS and AirPrint server for my ancient HP LaserJet 5Si - and play around with.

I have a 1991 Mac Classic, the first Mac I ever bought, upstairs that still works every time I flick the switch. System 7 on that one. 4 MB RAM (upgraded from 1 MB), replaced the hard drive with a 240 MB (came with a 40 MB), upgraded the processor from a 7½ MHz 68000 to a 25 MHz 68030. Tetris on a 9” greyscale screen is much, much more of a challenge than on a 27” 1080p screen Wink

Early 2011 MacBook Pro 13". Replaced the battery, touchpad and upgraded to 16GB of memory over the years. It is running Office 2011 and Outlook stopped a few months back and I could not get to work again.

So, just a few hours ago, I bought a new one at Costco.

Oldest Mac? or oldest MacBook? Title ask one, post ask the other.

G4 desktop still running my sign software and Illustrator 8. I quit the sign making business years ago and just kept the setup because it isn't really worth anything... the sign software runs on Classic OS 9 and will not run on OSX or newer.

I don't remember when I bought it new but they were made from 1999 to 2004 so it could be 20 years old.

If you’re going with oldest functioning Mac, I have a perfectly working Mac Plus made in 1987. I also have a fat Mac (512K) from 1985 that was working, but I haven’t tested it in awhile so I’m not claiming it’s good right now. My SE/30 needs a monitor repair. Frown

My oldest working computer of any type is an IBM PC built in 1982. It is all factory original. Even the MFM cables to the full height floppies still have their factory folds. I still have the box too. >>GEEK ALERT<<

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014). It seems to be running strong although the battery does not last like it used to.

Mid 2014 Retina, 15-inch MacBook Pro.
2.8 GHz Quad-core i7, 16GB ram, 512GB SSD.

I still have my 1st Mac, 1986 mac Plus that I maxed out with 4MB of ram in 1987. Has a 30MB SuperMac drive. Still runs, but I only fire it up once a year or so. Used to take it to a friends house and we'd play Falcon 2.O against each other.

Then I'd race Porsches and BMW's and other sports cars at 1 AM on HWY 17 NB from Aptos to South Bay home, in my Audi (WD4 - I sped up in the corners leaving them behind me; ah the fun.)

It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.

Early 2015 13" MBP. I use it mainly on the front porch in the early morning (still dark) for my morning Internet surfing. Still running strong. I also use it to build, and test, USB stick installers for each new version of macOS, using external SSD drives.

I have an early 2014 MacBook Air. Got it refurbished from Apple in August of 2016. It’s been great for what I do with it.
