Because of how my basement is set up I run 3 dehumidifiers down there. Two run mostly at nite as no one here knows how to shut a door. The other one is in an enclosed room, hooked to a timer. It will run constantly for 1-1 1/2 hrs 4-6 times a day depending on humidity level. I have a temp gauge in the room so I know how to adjust the timing.
Even tho a couple of the dehumidifiers have built in humidity gauges, I use a Thermopen humidity/temp pen for checking acccuracy. Thermopen runs them on sale once in a while. Normally $39 but on sale for $19. Handy little gadget.
