A Home Depot store in New York now has security guards, as well as a guard dog, to protect shoppers from thieves and aggressive illegal aliens.

According to the New York Post, two guards wearing bulletproof vests now patrol the Home Depot location in New Rochelle with a German Shepherd. One of the guards told the Post that the security company was employed a few weeks ago to keep shoppers safe.

“It’s not just because of [illegal immigrants], but because of a myriad of other things too, like people breaking into cars, that kind of stuff,” one of the guards who spoke to the Post said.

Reportedly, the lot at the New Rochelle location was “quiet” when the Post visited. However, at a different location seven miles away, “at least 30 male migrants hovered at the doors of Home Depot,”

But many others aggressively confronted shoppers, trying to sell them phony Apple Airpods or soliciting tips for lifting items from shopping carts into cars — even when uninvited.

“You come out and you’re a woman by yourself, they literally leech onto your wagon, and you’re like ‘No, I don’t need any help,'” one worker said. “And when they’re following you to your car, it’s unnerving.”

She said a female supervisor saw one of the men washing his privates with a water bottle in the lot, and that several women have called customer service to complain that migrants robbed them of purses or phones.

She’s seen the number of grifters in the lot swell as the migrant population in New York City explodes.

“I came to work one day and there had to be 100 guys out here,” she said. “And I’m like, ‘Oh, my God!'”

LaurieAnn Masciocco, who works at the Home Depot customer service department, told the outlet that customers are regularly complaining about illegal aliens at their stores.

“It’s come to the point where they’re invading personal space, touching people’s belongings, just harassing,” she said. “I get it, you’re trying to make a buck. But when it becomes aggressive and harassing there’s a major issue.”

One illegal immigrant told the Post that he was at one of the New York locations seeking work from contractors.

“There are a lot of people who have been coming here for a lot of years . . . asking people for jobs in construction and if they need help with projects,” he told The Post in Spanish. “We come here to find work.”

An illegal immigrant from Senegal told the Post that he makes about $300 a day by charging customers $10 each time he helps them push their cart or haul their purchases into their vehicle.

Home Depot told the outlet that loitering and soliciting are illegal at its stores, but would not specify what measures would be taken to stop it.

“While we can’t go into specifics about our security measures,” the company said, “it’s not unusual for us to use third-party security at various stores across the country.”

Hold a store front barbeque in the parking lot for customers only, and hire a motorcycle club to run it. Problem solved.

When I was in Honduras, the mall and the likes had razor wire fences around them to keep this riff raff away from the shoppers.

All clear here in my north Ga Home Depot too.
And we’re a lot closer to the border than NY.

There's a group of guys that hang out in the parking lots of the HD's here but so far they aren't bothering anybody that I know of .

I remember when they hung out in the parking lot some distance away from the actual store waiting/hoping for a day job and didn't accost anyone. (Phoenix, c.2006)

They still do that. Guys with their tool bags and lunch bag would hang around hoping for a contractor needing someone for a day. They don't bother anyone.

^^^ I don't have a problem - more accurately, have much less of a problem - with guys who work.

A guard dog? Those optics aren't going to be terrific.

Round them up and deport them. Simple solution. But I suppose Home Depot will have to start closing stores like Target because laws will never be enforced.

My son used to hire one particular guy occasionally . Flat day rate and he could do anything from landscaping to laying brick .

There’s a Lowe’s that’s convenient for me to hit on the edge of what we call the “badlands”. They’ve had the police monitoring camera towers for the last year. A lot of homeless and most likely illegals hanging around and wandering the parking lot. A few weeks ago the tower was warning you to stay alert, store your cell, and check your backseat before entering your car. Pretty specific and alarming message. The Walmart across the street is being hit by a gang of illegals from South America that are stealing cars 5-6 at a time, sometimes more than once per day. Biden’s America is a shitshow.

I used to organize the setting-up/tear-down of trade show booths for brands. Show labor came in a hierarchy- the electricians, A/V techs and equipment operators were at the top, the reliable muscle was in the middle and at the bottom were the the substance users, the skill-less and the recently released. All of those at bottom would show-up with nothing in their hands, no gloves, sneakers instead of boots, not even a bag lunch. They would have 'borrow' a screwdriver or, a box cutter, "can I use your drill?" I learned quick why they were doing what they were doing and to give them limited roles or, none at all.

I very briefly entertained the notion of hiring a couple of those guys for a couple of hours to move a gun safe. I thought better of it, having no workman's comp. The last thing I needed was to have one get hurt, real injury or not.

I assume just about every laborer here in Texas are all illegal.
Don't see how it can be avoided.

The highway and intersection bums here in St. Louis make about $200 in just a couple hours.....enough to buy a sandwich and rest on their drug(s) of choice (heroin, fentanyl, and/or meth).
