Picked up a Nitecore HC30 bundle, review inside.
I bought and very lightly used Nitecore HC30 with the rechargeable battery and charger.

It is a headlight and you can remove from the headband and use it as a edc angled flashlight. Like us all. I did not need it but had read you guys liking the Nitecore lights so I picked it up for $40 to my door.

I must say it is well built and it feels like it could be a very robust long living flashlight based on my initial testing. The low setting in low. But if you needed extended light out put it would do that very well for a long time. The second brightness setting is the one to use if going outside in pitch darkness to take the dog out or to get something from a vehicle etc.
For a bump in the night scenario the remaining three bright settings would be excellent and are very bright. The brightest would be blinding and provides great a throw range.

So it is another winner as far as I can tell to this point. Every bit as good as Fenix, maybe better. I just could not pass up for the price. Also I had been looking to add a rechargeable to the mix since I did not have one.

Looks really similar to the Zebras that I have - but a little bigger & has the over-the-head strap.

I have an AA & CR123 version of the zebras, they're older, so forget LED specs, etc, but they are very handy when you need them. Actually, hand-less.

Try the low out once you have night-adapted vision. If it's close to the zebra (5lm?), it's plenty to walk around in the woods in pitch-black (overcast, etc). I'd want 50-100lm to run or something like that, but you can get around on the low & it doesn't completely kill your night vision if you turn it off..
