Wait, what?!? Are the women not allowed to drive cars, or is this a choice they make themselves? (Rhetorical question). Absurd.

At Rotterdam, London, Warsaw and half a hundred other places, they put their rather naive theory into operation. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind."

SportshooterCould it be that cars are just a scheme to drive the price of horses down? Enquiring minds want to know.

FrankMosesThat article read so much like a parody that I expected to see a wink-wink at the end of the article.
No. They really are that stupid.

CromWe should probably be reminded that Sweden is also, literally, the home of "Stockholm Syndrome."
I can only speculate, but perhaps it is a cultural guilt and self-loathing stemming from the fact that Sweden was very proudly "neutral" during WWII.
Like they didn't want to descend into that barbaric practice called "war"....even if it is to prevent a megalomaniacal madman from burning an entire race of people alive.

“It just isn’t reasonable that a big truck can be driven right into one of Stockholm’s busiest streets on a Friday afternoon right before Easter.”
She's right on this point, but not the way she intends. No, it isn't reasonable at all that a big truck can be driven into a crowd of people, because the kind of people who do that sort of thing are people who don't use reason, and they aren't hindered by our cute little laws. Hey, I know, lets outlaw everything that could be used as a weapon in a terror attack while we simultaneously pass hate speech laws that legally forbid talking about The Who, and Why of the attacks. Seems to be working with great success where employed.

SIGnifiedThe Swedes have lost complete control of their government - a lesson we should heed.
They have laws that prevent them from dissenting (freely). Go to jail for a "hate crime" if you disagree with the "Dear Leaders".
