Are the new Lithium 1.5 AA batteries any good? I gave up on the old 1.2v batteries because they weren't reliable for charge life and wouldn't work in some devices at 1.2v. Before I spend the bucks to upgrade I would get some reports on them. Integrity is doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking. | ||

I have recently attempted to convert nearly all of my serious use electronics to rechargeables. Mainly stuff like RCR123As, 16340s, 16650s, and 18650s. (I've basically moved fully away from disposable CR123As.) But I don't have any serious use electronics that use AAs or AAAs, just stuff like TV remotes and backup utility lights, so I don't have any experience with rechargeable AAs. I still have a stash of disposable lithium AAs and AAAs that I'm working through, but I will likely switch to rechargeables for those once the stash runs out. Plus various other disposable batteries like CR2032s for some optics and key fobs, CR1/3Ns for certain larger optics, Cs/Ds for stuff like camping lanterns, and 9Vs for smoke alarms, since there are not really economical and comparable rechargeable battery options for those sizes. However, when/if that changes, I'll be switching for those sizes too. And the last several optics I've bought have been solar charging Holosuns, which don't require battery changes at all. | |||

I ruined some pretty nice keychain flashlights due to alkaline. I switched to the energizer rechargeable lithium from amazon which often go onsale for 14-17 dollars. It might not sound cheap, but I haven't had to buy batteries everytime they die, just recharge and I haven't had to deal with any leakage breaking my devices and all my nephew and neices toys that I keep here for when they visit always work. I used some of the other amazon brands but they didn't always work in some devices. Those Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries you linked to are NOT rechargeable... They're single use disposable lithium batteries. Energizer does offer rechargeable AAs, but they are nickel-metal hydrid not lithium, and 1.2V not 1.5V: https://www.amazon.com/Energiz...H15BP4/dp/B00000J47L | |||

Thanks for reply. Are those Nitecore batteries USB cable type recharge or in a charger? Integrity is doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking. | |||
