I have an inherent discriminator. I don't get much moved by any news, although the one on Charlie Kirk has made me very somber ever since it happened. But that's more about him and his family. Other than that, I'm usually skeptical. The only think that may get a rise out of me is news that an asteroid is about to hit the earth. But even then, i'm not panicking, just interested. As for media input, it's emails from Townhall, Breitbart, Epoch Times and Newsmax. And here. I do not get any media from the TV. Yes, I now try to. I grew up in the ‘hood, with a taste for everything from thug life gangsta rap to the heaviest of heavy metal, and everything in between. And I’ve never been too “shocked” by shockingly violent/abrasive movies etc. But in maturing in age, my walk with Christ, and having kids at home, I’ve tried to temper my inputs (but don’t always do a great job of it). I’ve found that my demeanor can be affected a bit by what I’m listening to and watching. With the pressures of adult life, and the negatives going on in the world around us, being deliberate about what we consume with our eyes and ears can definitely have a positive impact in our attitudes, I believe. | |||
