old rugged crossolder kia infinity cd issue
Got an early 2000's kia with a infinity 6cd player. Will not work and all six lights stay on with the key off so have a problem drawing down the battery. Cannot insert a cd. So maybe one is stuck. Won't play or eject. I get some kind of abreviated error code on the display.
At this point pulling the fuse should do it but will kill the radio too. Any thoughts or help?
Thanks guys.

6gunsJust a guess, but some drives have a little hole to insert a pin that'll eject a stuck disc. Maybe?
ETA, maybe pulling the fuse will reset it somehow?

.38supersigThe multi disc players stack the CDs and the laser is activated by an arm that rotates under the disc to be played. Possibly causing an obstruction.
Pulling the fuse may work if you remove all of them supplying the head unit with power. A full power cycle may generate a self test.
Worst case scenario would be the stack assembly has an obstruction and needs to be disassembled before a full scale deflection can take place.
Is there any way to find out who manufactured the head unit (Alpine/Harmon-Kardon/Kia) and contact them?
Like Bose, Infinity mostly supplies the auto industry with amps and speakers.

shovelheadMost of the automotive audio suppliers have authorized service centers to service their radios. One of the big ones is United Radio, they used to be in New York.
