Here's the link to the Newsweek story, but this is much for entertaining with my favorite liberal, Jimmy Dore. Jimmy is an actual liberal, not a slogan-spouting, brain-dead leftist.
Ah, darn, it's a "largely ceremonial position". I was going to make a crack about the University's deciding it needed a first female chancellor so badly that they picked a woman who lives on the other side of the Atlantic and can therefore be counted on to never be around.

The politician was originally appointed as chancellor in January 2020 but her installation was delayed because of COVID.
The term is for five years....
So, she's done in January 2025, less than a year away?

When my daughter was almost 10, as a class leader in school, she was among those chosen to attend the dedication ceremony for the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. We were living in Williams, Arizona at this time, and I was working on the Kaibab National Forest. You might wonder why a young girl, living in Arizona would be present at the dedication of a National Monument in Utah. The answer is because the dedication was held at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. You might wonder why it wasn’t held in Utah at the location of the new National Monument. Well, because the governor and Utah’s entire Congressional delegation was opposed to locking up the Grand Staircase-Escalante. The Administration felt, probably rightly, the the ceremony would be disrupted by Utahans angry about the designation.
My daughter was too young to come home with strong feelings either way about HRC. President Bill Clinton was represented at the ceremony by his wife. I saw news reports of her presentation, and she made me shiver, just like she does to this day. She may not be the worst woman in the world, but she’s sure top 3.
