I was Googling for a cleaning lady to do a one time clean at my home and found this site. They seem to be a broker for assorted household projects. Called them. They answered by saying that this was a recorded line. I should have simply hung up there. I told the woman what I wanted and she quoted me an almost too-good to be true price...I booked the appointment on the spot. (Mistake #2) This site was on Angie’s List and I had always thought that they were supposed to be pretty reputable so I didn’t really worry about doing a background check on Handy. (Mistake #3). Today I spoke with another cleaning service who asked significantly more questions about what I wanted, and also quoted me more money, but I felt better about what I was going to be able to get out of their services. I tried cancelling Handy and could not find a phone number. I called back the number that I called yesterday and kept getting a VM. Finally I found a way to cancel online and did that. A moment later I received an email saying that my account has been....credited. Credited? How could they credit my account for work that had not been completed yet? I checked my credit card and they had already charged me! I cannot even begin to describe the hassle it took for me to reach a person to discuss this. They ended up refunding my credit card, but man I do not like their business practices; at least as I’ve experienced so far. Any of you guys ever use them, or better work for them? ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ | ||
