Good. AOC was lobbying for police cutbacks, and now her constituents are angry because of the recent uptick in subway violence. 600 cameras at the scene were not working. The people that vote Democratic are not all Socialist types.

We have similar issues in the R party, look at McCain, Romney, by conservative standards and that mans voting history there is no way he should be a Senator in DC. None. But, there he is....voting for Bidens SC nominee lock stock with the left.

Disagree. Look at Thomas Sowell who I believe is 90. Some cognitive screening, however is in order. Something more that a 15 minute test. Neuropsychological testing is accurate and available. Physicians and others who have licenses have been subject to testing for years if there is probable cause.

When you have term limits, the age limit is not even necessary. How many congress critters will be really old, after just two terms, or even three? Reagan, when he left the WH, was not yet 80.

Oddly enough, there have long been stories about both Feinstein's and Pelosi's being heavy drinkers. For all we know Pelosi will swear Feinstein's fine for as long as Pelosi can still slip her drinks onto Feinstein's tab.

OTOH, there were also a couple of stories in the press a little while back (IIRC) to the effect that younger and (I guess) more progressive Democrats in California were anxious for DiFi to retire. I couldn't say whether she's being pressured by those people, she's still dealing with her husband's recent death, she's actually suffering cognitive decline, or some combination of the above. I'd certainly be interested to hear which four Democrat Senators were whispering these tales to the press, though.

The Dem progressives in CA have been chomping at the bit to replace Feinstein and Pelosi for the last decade. They view both of them as living anachronisms who should've walked away long ago. Feinstein arguing and blowing-off a bunch of teenage Green New Deal enthusiasts outside her office, sealed-the-deal about her in the minds of the impressionable...I mean youth.

Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris, Scott Weiner, Kevin de Leon (ghost gun fame), Adam Schiff, Alex Padilla, and Katie Porter will be on the short-list of candidates. Pick your gender/ethnicity/sexual direction preferences
