Starting to see some shortages here. I won't go to Wal Mart any more because they could not keep their shelves stocked before this. People shop Wal Mart much harder too. Went to our local chain grocery even though I pay probably 8 to 10 percent more they are usually stocked much better. I did notice they are playing games with their shelf stocking. The canned tomato products used to be about 16 feet of shelf space. Sauces, stewed tomato, diced, crushed and paste. Now down to eight feet and the selection has dwindled. The rest they just fill in with what they have. The last thing a grocery store wants is bare shelves.

Frozen foods was thin! I don't but much frozen as in fries. Veggies yes and they were well stocked. I buy Simply Potato's that aren't frozen and they are well stocked. Produce section is well stocked with potato's as well. I doubt there is anything about this shortage that can't be easily fixed. All my meat comes from online purchases now. Snake River Farms, Wild Fork Foods, Biloxi Shrimp Company and D'Artganan are just a few I use. Nice being able to stroll right past the meat department.

Shoestring, steak, crispy, waffle fries, onion rings, etc. all gone save for a lonely bag or two of off brands.

There's plenty of other things not on the shelves, but these were the emptiest.

Harris Teeter in my neck of NC was out of most milk varieties, chicken breast, BACON, and pastas. No Gatorade and limited selection of snacks. We have a winter storm approaching sooooo the bread was gone.

I stopped at the store after the gym.

The Chapel Hill Harris Teeter and Wegmans were bare and the people were insane.

I then stopped at the Harris Teeter near the Duke VA hospital and the shelves were bare.

Last weekend I went to Publix in Apex and they were pretty squared away as a whole. A few items missing but the meat cases were full.

It is a hike but I really enjoy Publix chicken and steak and it is the only place I will buy it since Krogers closed.

We are predicted to have as much as 2 FEET of snow in the next 2 days. The stores I went to this morning were not that crowded. It may be different by now.

There are NO Pillsbury or any other biscuits available. Also no Pillsbury cinnamon rolls. I saw some other bare shelves, but found what I was looking for.

You know if you really think about all the items we have to pick from in a Grocery store....

If they don't have it then you probably really don't need it....

I stopped at the Lidl grocery store on the way home from work today to pick up a couple things. Noticed lots of empty shelf space.

They did however have a large stack of table saws. So I guess shipment from China are improving. Strange store.
