Upgrade to Grover Rotomatic tuners for less than a hundred bucks. Get Schallers if you want something better (and pricier). I bought Schallers for my Charvel build back in 1979, they still work great.

Gotoh or Hipshot for me. Grover don't line up with metric specs in my experience.

I've used both and can agree. Hipshot locking, open gear is my favorite.

I have owned a number of Jay Turners over the years. Most of them are in someone else’s hands except for a 335 knockoff. It’s excellent playing and sounding.
