I am a retired educator. A field filled with women in positions of leadership. What we unfortunately witnessed in the halls of Congress I never saw once in my career. Arguments, sometimes heated, but never childish like this.

Sooo, now that everyone's completely incensed over this, it should be pointed out that the video in the OP, much like many (most?) such videos in the media (legacy, social, etc) is intended to illicit a particular reaction, and starts AFTER the beginning of the actual exchange, which would have revealed the context and the complete (and unbiased!) picture of what transpired.

MTG asked an open but pointed 'gotcha' question to the other side, "I'd like to know if any of the Democrats on this committee employing Judge Merchan's daughter?" The Democrat offered silence initially, and then played dumb while trying to obfuscate. MTG followed up, somewhat sarcastically with, "Oh Goldman, that's right, he's advising, OK". That was followed by a little more obfuscation by the Dems, which then led to where the video started, followed by the catfight that’s so offensive to everyone. That video from Fox is missing at least 24 seconds of context, and they had to have purposely edited it down to what they posted and/or broadcasted on air for the public consumption. Further, as they surely had access to the video of the entire committee hearing from the moment it was called to order (and maybe even prior to that) it would have had to been intentionally edited as such in order to portray this the way it has been portrayed.

Don’t forget that MTG is close to Trump and like MANY, is sick of all the corrupt lawfare on display, completely out in the open, which is without question, the ‘Weaponizing of the Justice Department’ by corrupt leftist Democrats! And yet, while basically ANYBODY can see all of it for what it is, it continues unabated, with seemingly no end in sight, and no consequences for those that are perpetuating it. I would presume that the revelations regarding about Marchon’s daughter, combined with the myriad of reasons for which, Marchon should have ‘already’ recused himself from the case may have simply been ‘the Straw that Broke the Camel’s Back’ for MTG, so to speak.

Add to that, the very real possibility, as she’s dealing with these partisan, corrupt & ‘Holier than Thou’ Democrats on a regular basis, that MTG is simply sick of their shit! I would certainly be understandable. There also may have been an altercation prior to the hearing that precipitated some of this, and as posted by ‘Ripley’ apparently there’s already some animosity between Crockett and MTG anyway, to include derogatory comments re: MTG’s physical appearance.

All of this criticism of MTG seems not too much different than that by those who criticize and oppose Trump for being brash, or his mean tweets. The voters in her district will get to weigh in (again) on election day, but she’s withstood attempts to disqualify her, and has been overwhelmingly re-elected to her House seat previously. Further, the Georgia Primary is tomorrow, and apparently nobody is even running against her. She’s from a solidly conservative district and will VERY likely be overwhelmingly re-elected again.

One things for certain, like her or not, MTG is unwaveringly on our side! And for the record, her actions (and words) have NOT and will NOT cost the Republicans any seats in ANY legislative body, nor have they guaranteed the election of any leftist Democrats to theirs. We should not give in to what all those in the media and/or on social media want, and abandon any conservatives, especially those that are clearly on our side! The fact that she is over the target and on the right side of things is why they hate her so much! Perhaps we shouldn’t…

As others have noted, most members of Congress have never held a real job nor had a real career. Instead, the majority of members of Congress seem to be "career politicians" who enter the halls of Congress with little not worth and seem to retire as millionaires. None of this speaks well for the state and local political parties which nominate and campaign for these people. We as voters are stuck with these swamp creatures.

330 million people in the United States, and we elect these idiots. At some point we need to start just picking names out of the phone book...the odds would be very much in favor of getting representatives of higher intelligence and maturity than this.
