You know I guess when I saw those videos I wanted so bad for her to just leave. It made so much sense to me that she would just walk away from all the crap that is the WNBA. Too bad.

I spent 4 seasons coaching higher level women's hockey. I learned a lot in those 4 years and see a lot of parallels. These are my main takeaways

1. They want all of the things male athletes have, earned or not
2. They want to be respected the same way as male athletes, earned or not
3. They demand that they are treated in all ways like women not men
- Don't dare treat them in any way like a male athlete
- Every interaction needs to be in a way acceptable to them
4. Most of them (not all) won't train at the same level as men
- Those who do become VERY good... oddly enough
5. They are not direct in voicing concerns or opposition. They'll go along but hate you for whatever you're making them do that they don't like.. but smile at you as if its all good.
6. The cattiness is amazing. Anyone better, even if it benefits the whole is not liked. On the surface it will appear that way but behind the scenes.
- The best parallel is the super pretty girl walks in and all the other women quietly cough "Bitch"

Experiences vary but those were my main takeaways. My biggest challenge is you never knew where you stood with them, ever.

Guys are easy, they'll just tell you, you discuss it, work it out, "ok coach, thanks...." and that's it.

If anyone in Europe had hired her, there'd be big splashy press events.

No actual news, only Youtubers? Smells fishy.

Might it be worth editing the thread title?

She’s not going anywhere. She’s under contract to play for Indiana and Nike gave her 25 million along with Wilson making her the first female to be sponsored by them. Among others.

My wife and I don't watch or follow sports except maybe golf on occasion so I got to ask, how much does a WNBA player earn as a salary, how many days a week/year do they work, how much down time or time off do they get?

I don't watch the WNBA and the NBA for that matter. But I have paid attention to the Caitlin Clark story because for one, she is a hell of a great basketball player (many great clips of her play on you tube), and two- she was demonized, attacked on court by black players, and the subject of some horrible press- all simply because she is white and a straight female. These cretins are all angry and jealous that a white gal comes in and instantly lifts the league to levels never seen before as far as fan attendance, broadcast money, exposure, etc. She is Larry Bird and Magic Johnson combined into one, selling out games, bringing a whole new fan base into the league. Her WNBA salary is $76,000 but she has $28 million in endorsements, she doesn't need to go to Europe for work. The players who oppose her are stupid ghetto trash, too dumb to realize that she is saving the league.

It would seem that she may be the first "superstar" to threaten to move on in the hope of being able to negotiate a bigger contract. Call me cynical.

Used to refer to the NFL as the Thug League or National Felon League, but damn these WNBA harpies have trumped that all to hell.

Caitlin is one of the very few "good ones."

Yeah, pretty sure that video is click bait fake news. I would bet her endorsement contract has stipulations requiring her to stay in the WNBA.

She sure is fun to watch and wow what a team player, leader, and class act.

Next year CC is going to have a far superior cast - this year was a soap opera, Coach had a pissing contest 1st half before owner gave her a talking to, CC's enforcer was the lesbian lover of the fingernail thug who tried to poke hCC's eye out in the play-off - she's gone.

CC will make any player better if they can catch her passes, wont be a problem to get a big bruiser to protect CC - she's got to be black or racism shit will be stirred. Lexie Hull is a shooter and she is blossoming, CC is easy to build around, get her 3 more players and Fever will be tough.
