Like most in the Forum, I didn’t care a whit about the WNBA, but there was no denying the huge impact Clark made on the league in ticket sales and other revenue. She almost made them relevant. She endured flagrant fouls without intervention from the officiating crews. The other players resented her, all the while she was making them richer and giving them exposure. Apparently Clark was fed up, she’ll take her talent to Europe and sign a Monopoly money contract. The WNBA will go back to obscurity and the echo of empty arenas. Good.
BTW, I don’t believe the Indiana team averaged “177,000” fans/game

She should, the players treated her like crap because she was white and upstaging the majority of other players, making big money, which she deserved.
Games where her team played ended up being moved to large venues for 15K + where before it was under 5K people if that in attendance.
TV revenue and viewers doubled, after her team left the finals the tv viewers dropped from 2 million to under a million.

CC may well move but there is much click bait and I'm pretty sure that's all this is.

Good for her. Screw the WNBA; the old saying you reap what you sow comes to mind.
The players and officials didn't want her so she will take her talent elsewhere.

Good for her.
I equate it to the whole streaming exclusive bullshit program the nfl went with. Screw them too.

That’s what my wife is saying to me. I probably owe you all an apology, I saw more than one video on YT and made an assumption.
ETA: Now there appears to be dozens of videos reporting the Europe story. It must be true, I heard it on the internet.

Yeah right. This talk of her going to Europe has been going on for a while, now. They all made it sound like it's a done deal. And all were click bait bullshit. And, this latest one is no different. Show me real news, not YT bullshit. You think that, if she has decided to leave, somehow the mainstream media just fell asleep at the wheel? I'll be glad if she decides to leave for greener pasture, because the filthy WNBA needs to go back to their sewer, but right at the moment, she's still in the league.

I think that attendance number is 17,700 per one off the views I saw. I also suspect click bait but would love to see her tell the WNBA to pound sand.

Just did a DuckDuckGo search on it and there is no mention of her going to play in Europe. In fact, she is supposedly taking a break during the off-season unlike many other players who DO go to Europe when not playing here!
And I also would love to see her dump the WNBA...

Many WNBA players play in Europe during the offseason. They pay better. An Indiana Star story how Clark is not playing in Europe. She has sufficient endorsement deals that she doesn't have to.
That's one of several articles that I just found prior to my previous comment. She's not going anywhere... for now!

Many WNBA plays will take their offseason and play overseas, this is nothing new. Remember the whole Britney Griner in Russia affair?
Sounds like Clark is going to take a break and the OP's video is click-bait.

And for a brief moment the players of the WNBA had an opportunity to capitalize and bring their salaries up. But low character and bigotry killed that golden goose so now they can go back to misery and whining.
