I mean technically the Bill of Sale has the same info but, what (if any) pitfalls am I missing?

Provide a copy of all receipts with address blanked out...... or?

I black out the personal info on all the documents that don’t require it.

Like you said, it's on the title. Seems like a waste of time to me to hide all but one.

We keep all the receipts on every vehicle we own and seems to be a good selling point when we sell privately. It gives the buyer piece of mind that the car was well taken care of.

We remove the credit card payment info but don’t worry about our name and address..

To a private party, fine. If trading it in to a dealer, no.

Sigh. The data is out there, folks. Google your name, and your address will pop up. I once paid a service 2 bucks and all my adresses, phone numbers, and employers since 1981 popped up. You can run around blacking shit out, but you're pissin' in the wind.

My last purchase the dealership shredded them. Said it was a liability to them to include it. Said take it with you or we shred it.

Your address is a public record. What are you gaining by trying to hide it?

Thanks all.

Selling the GTO and have three interested buyers, just realizing that while I wouldn't have any nefarious intent of buying a vehicle from the original owner with all receipts, never know otherwise.

And, as also noted, as a buyer would like the receipts to see all that was done along with stuff forgotten.

Nobody knows about my mom's bunker basement, so how would they know where I live? Razz

And there is this: Buy a BMW motorcycle and BMW sells your info to all kinds of folks who think you have $$$. I just got a very glossy, high end promo from Audi pushing their electric vehicles. Price one of those if you dare. And there is nowhere to charge it here so its all pointless. But thanks anyway, Audi.
Your private party may not leak your info, but it is out out there and there is little you can do to change that.
Another proof of this is the constant bombardment of offers in snail mail and email wanting to sell me an extended warranty on a vehicle I sold 10 years ago!
