Bands of my youth.

Wish I had something good to post, but time spares nobody.

saw this last night when I got home from a Dweezil Zappa show,

got to see the Cars on tour in about 1983, damn good band, one of my favorites from high school/college

Sadly, there will be more icons falling. There is no avoiding it; they are human, and getting older.

Didn't expect to read that this morning.
The cars are a great band, but I will be honest I didn't appreciate them in the 80's while I was in my teens and early 20's.

Now that I am older I really started to appreciate their songs.

The internet has its good and bad, but one of the good things is that I was able to listen to youtube while at work in the morgue.

The Cars were on my play list, especially the numerous songs when the lead singer was Benn Orr.

Another singer from my youth has gone.
I am finally understanding what my father said numerous years ago about athletes and singers from his youth fading away in to the night.

They will live on forever on my phone, The selection I have is amazing and forever, thanks to the cloud.

Always sad to hear news like this!!

We are going to lose a lot of our favorites over the next few years.

The Cars were cool, and among the first with that sound.
