Adding widgets is something APPLE made a big deal about as part of their IOS, I mean seriously don't make a big deal over something your competitor had had for over half a decade and get surprised if you get jabbed for it. I'd make fun of Android if they had just got a Siri style voice recognition if it were 5 years later, and made it out as if it were groundbreaking. As for my screen name, bravo on the sick burn. I do feel the need to point out the 280nosler was around as a wildcat (280 Ackley Improved) since 1960 - nosler just took it to SAAMI for standardization. So yeah it was around 42 year BEFORE the 7MM RUM (which came out in 2002, not 2001). As for the car key, I'll chalk that up to a feature in both a car and phone I do not want, akin to automotive radar.

The point your missing is about coming into an iOS thread and mentioning Android. It is disruptive and off point. BTW, widgets are quite neglected on Android. Android promotes them with a screenshot of a widget that isn’t even available now in the play store. Perhaps like many things Apple does, they will polish and refine the idea and make it better. Just because someone is first, doesn’t mean they are best and nobody else should further develop the idea. Can nobody bring handwriting recognition to market simply because Apple Newton did it first in 1992? Did you make fun of MSFT in 2004(ish) when they made a big deal about adding handwriting recognition to Windows CE fourteen years after Apple did it on the Newton? This was one of the wildest new features I saw on the list Apple iOS 14 can recognize specific sounds and notify you I'm not sure when your average user would actually want to use this, but a game changer for the hearing impaired. You mean like you did in the Husqvarna thread a week ago?

^^^^^^ There are many other things that Apple and Microsoft could do to make them handicapped accesible. I am skeptical about this one.

10.3 killed the battery on 5s, to where couldn't be used all-day with moderate use.

Good grief man! The seventh post in that thread has you bringing up Stihl and Echo. Also, not once did I ever disparage anything in that thread. I was complimentary about all brands. I didn’t show up to shit on Husqvarna. Perhaps just give it a rest and let others discuss iOS14 and its new features. Yeah, but you had to buy one to get those features. And that was a price too high to pay. Endowment Life Member, NRA • Member of FPC, GOA, 2AF & Arizona Citizens Defense League

Currently iOS 13.1 on my iPhone X. When I first updated I had a problem with the phone bricking a few times, I did some searches and it was suggested that I hard reset it. I tried it once and without having to wipe it clean and reinstall the software it seemed to work. I'm leaving it for now but the bricking issue was troublesome at the time. My MacBook Pro is still using High Sierra, being a late 2013 Retina I'm almost due for another but I'll see how long I can keep it. I'm currently at the edge of iOS upgrade support according to Apple's website. Regards, Will G.

Mine went downhill as soon as I loaded pOS 13 so maybe iOS 14 would fix some of it somehow? Can I upgrade to iOS 12 instead?

I had a 5s back then also. My 5s couldn’t make it all day with moderate use when it was new. They were small phones with a small battery. ——————————————— The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Psalm 14:1

Won't help much. iOS and Mac have very different hardware for getting user input. Touch screens on one and not the other is kind of a big deal. Having half ass keyboard input on one and excellent keyboard on another is another big deal. Add mouse input into the mix. Not an easy task to have two different user input systems (three if you count the iPhone) and give equal user experience to all platforms. Maybe Apple can pull it off? MS already did it pretty well on the MS Surface, lap tops, and desk tops but they all had very similar input hardware.

IOS 13 really messed up my phone/hearing aid connectivity. I’m going to wait on 14 until there are reviews on issues.

I think the mapping on the back of the phone is a cool idea. You can program functions by tapping the back of the phone. For instance you can tap the back 3 times in succession and have it perform a task like take a screen shot. You can also set it to activate Siri into performing tasks like open you camera etc... _______________________________________________ Use thumb-size bullets to create fist-size holes.
