Not been steel or idpa shooting for over a year, going to get back into it.

What are the best priced below $100 electronic earmuffs out there please.

My elchepo Walkers have not fared well in the safe even with the batteries out.

Thanks

BAck when I bought my electronic muffs I had about the same budget in mind as you and found Howard Leight's fit the bill.

Here is a link to Amazon for $55. Note I paid less at Cabelas about 5 years ago because I had a coupon as well.

I have a set of Pro-Ears that I have been using about 5 years. Very comfortable, even in warm weather and have been holding up very well. They are north of $100 though. As mentioned above the Howard Leights are probably the best bang for your buck under the $100 mark.

On a whim I purchased my first electronic earmuffs through AMAZON. I have to get in the habit of turning the volume down completely when shooting indoors.

Remember it is YOUR hearing. I bought the best I could afford in both eye and ear protection.

I love my Howard Leight’s, around 50 bucks. I also use foam plugs in my ears for good measure:

I spent a good chunk of money on electronic hearing protection muffs. They failed right after the warranty expired. Frown

I'm looking at getting a set of Howard Leights.

I have the same pair and they have been solid. I dropped them on concrete and they stopped working. After some tinkering, I realized the battery connectors bent slightly causing a lack of connection. I bent the connector back and it worked like a charm. They are great as they amplify voices yet block out the sound of gun fire.

I bought a set for work, ( indoor range ) years ago and they're great. Comfy to wear for long periods. They're my go-to ear pro for work and play.

I like their lower profile.. makes it easier when using long guns. Buy a hard case, too. Protects them better and carry an addition pair of batteries with them.

The good muffs only cut out the gunfire and immediately go back to normal amplification. I have some Peltors that “clip”—they cut out for several seconds.
I use Sordins but they are over your budget.

Yes those $300 muffs are nice I must say. Peltors seem the way to go thanks for all the suggestions.
Now I need new glasses with thin side bars to go under the earmuff pads.

Replacement glasses compatible gel ear pads are the way to go with either type of Howard Leight ear pro.
