Fires are destroying thousands of homes and businesses and harming millions with smoke and I have not heard one word from Congress. However, they are spending billions on emigrants and foreigners.

How about repairing the thousands of grounded planes and equipping the with fire fighting equipment and train pilots to fly them?

All those asses in Washington need to be replaced!

We installed these brain dead maggots and continue to reelect them. This country richly deserves its decline.

The government has been AFU for many years! It would be interesting to see what the Founding Fathers would think.

Because the fires are necessary to convince the public that it's all due to global warming and CO2. And that will justify ever increasing government control of energy, which means control over pretty much everything. They mismanaged the forests by not letting natural burns occur on smaller scales, and now they are not doing much to control the big fire that results directly from the mismanagement. Try to forget out how much CO2 the fires cause, because it's not the "bad" CO2 that comes from petroleum and coal, it's "good" politically-focused CO2.

Just the other day Biden signed an order that 50% of cars will be EV by 2030. Sorry but the technology isn't there, the infrastructure isn't there, the manufacturing capacity isn't there, and the rare metal mining capacity isn't there. I would estimate perhaps 10% by 2030 (currently 2%) might be feasible. And the electricity still needs to be generated at a power plant that most likely burns natural coal or natural gas. Oh but then we will convert all those to wind and solar, nevermind all the energy that is spent to make these incredibly inefficient sources of power.

And then they will tell us jets make too much CO2 and we can't fly unless we are very important, and must travel on the electric high speed trains they keep promising us but can never deliver despite the billions spent.

If you haven't figured it out yet, Trump's departure from the Paris agreement and publicly saying AGW is a hoax was the reason he had to go. Never before has the government, academia, and business been so aligned to the goal of total control over the use of energy and transportation. The excuse "BECAUSE CO2!" is being used to justify taxes, trading schemes, energy rationing, rolling blackouts, government control of land use, the kind of car you drive, you name it. That's why they keep saying we only have a short time to act or things are going to be impossible to fix. That's why droughts, fires, heavy rains, floods, extreme cold, blizzards, and every bad weather event is being blamed on CO2. The longer we wait and find that the temperature is not really going up, or that severe weather events are not actually increasing in frequency, the less likely they will be able to sustain the lie. Trump tried to change this, and everyone in power coordinated they efforts to get rid of him. And now Biden is going full-Carter on environmental silliness.

I feel for them. Get the equipment fixed and quit F’ing around w/ utter BS!!! I am sure the lack of controlled burns also helps these fires.

The smoke from the fires in northern MN and southern Manitoba has finally subsided here.

The greatest and worst source of dangerous CO2 comes from a 68.34 square mile area between Virginia and Maryland.

It is a toxic waste dump and should be on the top of the "Superfund Site" cleanup list.
