The title of the video refers to the latest presidential debate and you can go back and listen to Hanson's analysis, but I've got the video queued up to the part of the interview where Hanson discusses Churchill. Recently, Tucker Carlson did an interview with some wannabee named Cooper, who said outrageous things about Winston Churchill. Hanson addresses those remarks and he says much more about Churchill and the Allied powers of WWII, and as always with Hanson, it's well worth the listen. Hanson is a brilliant historian who never fails to amaze me with his perspective and depth of knowledge. The segment on WWII is close to a half hour, and if you're interested in learning things you thought you already knew, you should take the time. One thing I found quite amusing is how deftly Hanson puts this Cooper guy in his place. Hanson says that he wrote a quarter of a million word history on WWII, and that being the case, he would think that he is familiar with modern authors on the subject, yet he had never heard of Cooper. The essence of Hanson's remarks is that Churchill's actions and behavior in the first 14 or so months of WWII saved the West. This is the second GB News/Hanson interview I've posted. The host (knowledgeable in his own right) allows Hanson to speak at length, uninterrupted, and it's a pleasure. _______________________________________________ “What sickens me about left-wing people, especially the intellectuals, is their utter ignorance of the way things actually happen.” ~ George Orwell "That's one thing about intellectuals. This was amazing! Talk about a polite academic dismantling of Cooper. Thank you for posting. When VDH talks, I listen. He is an amazing historican, and maybe even a modern visionary. His knowledge on current geopolitical matters is also extraordinary. | |||
