PHPaulFirst sign of Spring
Went down to the Town Office and renewed the registration on the Vette.

A bit too cold/sandy to take it for a spin just yet, but soon!

ScreamingCockatooWhen I see the Robins on the lawn, it's Spring.

This.
In SoCal my black granite patio table is getting the yellow layer - with each breezy day.
Also, first migration of hummingbirds have come, used the nest, and departed the pattern. Next migration should arrive next few weeks.
In between the migrations is the pine pollen
(there is a nest above previously noted patio which two annual migrations use. After the chicks are hatched, we have to cover the table and move the furniture until they fly away)
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

This year looks to be a bad one for allergy sufferers, particularly in the northeast.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Yeah...uhhhh, NO!

Last (and likely THE last...) Corvette show I went to I wore a well-used pair of Carhartt carpenter jeans and a tee shirt.
Buncha old fuddy-duddy types (I'm old, but eschew fuddiness...) standing around polishing non-existent specks off their cars and giving the evil eye to anyone that looked like they might accidentally brush up against it.
I sat on the back of mine and talked to the one guy that wasn't drawing Social Security about (gasp!) non-Corvette cars!

GT-40DOCWe had a high pressure zone move in for a few days and it was in the low 90's. That passed and we are back in the 70's and low 80's. We call this Spring!!

ArtieSIt's about 90 this week. Spring is clearly here.

sjtillHad a sunny day yesterday in San Diego (been getting a lot of rain—not complaining). Took the S2000 for its smog check and to AAA to register.
Also—and this may be of interest to others—I went to Costco where they have a van in front making new car keys and fobs at about half the dealer rate or less. They made sure the key fit, the fob was programmed; and they have a three-year warranty.
This company services Costcos in both northern and Southern California.

TRIOEven if there is still snow on the ground, I like seeing the Daffodil's Corona, seemingly like a trumpet, announcing that spring is almost here.
I also like hearing the Robins chirping away and Northern Mocking birds singing their varied songs. In the shop, a nest with hatchling are chirpping like mad. Can't use that vent for another 12 days.
