Our Friend David Truong
I bought my wife an old 14K Rolex for our tenth anniversary, in 1985. After a few years went by, she gave it to our daughter for a birthday present.

Trouble was, the solid mesh band was oh-so slightly too small for her wrist, and so the watch languished in my daughter's jewelry box for years; I could find no local jeweler who could lengthen the band.

DUH!!~ Why did I not think of David earlier?
I sent it out to him and he did a masterful job of creating a new longer clasp stirrup in 14K gold that cannot be told from original Rolex work!

And the price was, well, I've spent more on three-martini lunches!

My daughter is ecstatic and now wears the watch everywhere!

I think David is a national treasure. Thank you, David, for all you do for us here on the Forum!
