SW_SigPicked up a cherry crumb and a raspberry chess at Crave a few minutes ago and now drinking a beer at Good Word Brewing while waiting for dinner.
We are going to walk down the street to check out the live music after dinner.

WoodmanNext road trip I'll try to test them out. My test is thus: Buy a pie and eat the entire thing on an empty stomach. If I do not feel ill afterwards, it gets a Six Thumbs Up.

Brought home a personal chocolate meringue and a apple cherry.
Awesome pie.

I looked up Emporium Pies and they don't offer chocolate meringue. Bother.
There is a restaurant in Garland (I think)--Judy's at Campbell and Jupiter--that does have chocolate meringue, and it's very good (about a 9.5 compared to my mom's). I also eat at a Dickie's that carries chocolate meringue that rates about an 8.5 to 9.
