Picked up a cherry crumb and a raspberry chess at Crave a few minutes ago and now drinking a beer at Good Word Brewing while waiting for dinner.

We are going to walk down the street to check out the live music after dinner.

That looks like a place for a spontaneous profound religious experience, without the bother of a diety.

Well, they don't offer my favorite: chocolate meringue pie. (And if they did, I don't know how they'd ship one to me.)

Next road trip I'll try to test them out. My test is thus: Buy a pie and eat the entire thing on an empty stomach. If I do not feel ill afterwards, it gets a Six Thumbs Up.

This thread got me looking for Stawberry Rhubarb Pie.

None found this is my wife's first.

I saw this place in the opening scene of a movie yesterday (10x10, a kidnapping sort of thriller on Hulu). Recognized the name, Googled the shooting locations - and sure enough: Atlanta.

We had lunch at Dreamland BBQ in Duluth today and then went inside Crave.

Brought home a personal chocolate meringue and a apple cherry.

Awesome pie.

Worth the drive? Nice ambiance? That looks like an excellent first leg of a cross country road trip. A moderate 750 miles.

They had chocolate meringue earlier today. It was very good.

We are heading to Dallas the week after next, May have to stop at Emporium Pies while there. Three locations, OakCliff, Deep Ellum, and McKinney.

I looked up Emporium Pies and they don't offer chocolate meringue. Bother.

There is a restaurant in Garland (I think)--Judy's at Campbell and Jupiter--that does have chocolate meringue, and it's very good (about a 9.5 compared to my mom's). I also eat at a Dickie's that carries chocolate meringue that rates about an 8.5 to 9.

Georgia is a place too far for me. And shipping is a bit costly when I have THIS local to me:
https://www.pistachiopie.com/menu

Granted Crave Pie charges $28 for their 10 inchers while my Rapid City place wants $32. That said I think the local pies are a bit bigger. Big Grin
