It's been so long since I was in a vehicle that had these that I forgot how they were.

For those that use them, do you find they really help keep your vehicle cooler in the summer with the windows cracked an inch?

Do you notice a change in wind noise with the windows either closed or open slightly?

I very rarely drive with the windows open but I do like the thought of keeping the vehicle cooler in the summer.

I have them on all 4 windows. Weathertech branded that insert up into the window channel for the Subaru.

With the windows cracked, it does stay a little cooler. I would say 3-7 degrees. If I'm sitting in the car waiting for the wife to do something in the store, having the windows cracked to the vent visor is definitely an improvement in terms of stuffiness.

There is increased wind noise. Not terrible, but, it's there. My Subaru Outback was not particularly quiet at highway speeds, so only a marginal increase in noise. I'm hesitant to put them on my Discovery or X3 because they are quieter at highway speeds, although I might not hear the difference because those cars may be quieter because of improved acoustic insulation and glass.

While moving, you can have the windows cracked at highway speeds and get good circulation without wind blowing directly at your face. That's nice.

Best feature is that I can take a nap or camp sleeping in my car with the windows cracked and still have privacy and protection from rain.

From a practical standpoint, they should smooth the airflow and reduce the wind noise when the windows are slightly lowered but create some when the windows are up (compared to no deflector).

We have them on both our Outbacks and our daughter's RAV4. Yeah, a bit of extra wind noise when opened a little, but great to have in a St Louis summer so they can be open and not worry about that unexpected thunderstorm soaking everything. With a windshield panel the inside temp can be more than 25* less than when buttoned up.

Weather tech fan for over 15 yrs. Bought the vents for about 5 vehicles.

Always crack a window if you leave grandma in the car.

I like them and have the Weathertech In-channel ones. I highly recommend them especially so you can crack the window open to vent some air in the summertime. God Bless

I have a set on the Silverado I got from my grandfather. They have been on there for 20 years and are the stick on type. They certainly keep the temps down a little bit and if it is a vehicle that is not driven everyday it’s not as stale especially in the summer.
As far a added noise, not a clue as they have been on the truck as long as I can remember.

I think the new channel lock style vs. the stick ons are likely better as the seem to hold a little closer to the truck.

I’ve wanted to get them for the Expedition just never got around to it. Hope to be in a Tundra within the month and I’ll probably get some for it in due time.

they are nice when it's raining and you need to roll down the window a little.

Georgia company. Great customer service. I purchased a set and installed them.The next day, a crack appeared. I called them on the phone and they sent an entire new set out FedEx next day.

I would purchase them again.

I've had one set I had to replace after about 11 years. They cracked due to my negligence with a ratchet strap. I've done the stick on. I like to crack the windows, especially after a fast food pickup. I think they were AVS.

My little ranger is in a sunny parking lot for my whole 12 hour shift. With the visors, and the windows cracked, the difference in temperature is noticeable. Also keeps the seat dry if an unexpected shower pops up. I plan on installing them on every vehicle I own going forward.

 
I long for the little triangular shaped vent windows.

My father has an old S-10 that the wind can be rough on your outside ear while driving with the window open. I bought him a set of Weathertech ones and it helped a fair amount. He had them maybe 6-8 months before someone stole them.

Those are ok, but my favorite are the extra large vent holes on the floor area kick panels.

I've always preferred the in-channel vents to the taped-to-the-paint style.

Coworker years ago had a set on his Prelude that were very low profile in-channel visors. Can't recall the brand, but they were effective without being fender flares for your windows.

I was never a fan of them, but my KL Cherokee is designed in such a way that anything on the windshield blows directly into the driver's window at speed, including rain and washer fluid.

Put them on a couple years ago (WeatherTech, of course) and couldn't be happier. Doesn't look too bad, and I don't notice any extra road noise on the already loud vehicle.

I didn't spring for the panoramic roof option on this vehicle and I really miss having a sunroof for venting in rain or cold weather especially and as others have pointed out, the window visors make it easy to get fresh air regardless of what it's doing outside.

I had a used car that had them on when I was young & I think they make a HUGE difference. Any car/truck I own from now on will have them put on if they don't already have them. Part of the deal my husband & I made when purchasing 2 new Subaru vehicles was they had to have them installed before we picked them up. My husband had never had a car with them on & he likes them as well.

Helps with the heat & stuffiness, but also smells. I do a lot of hiking with our dogs & I keep the windows cracked 24/7 as long as it's not freezing out. I don't have to worry about putting windows up if it rains.

Had them on my Subaru. It was really great when it was raining out I can have all the windows vented.

I too miss real vent windows...

I'm going to have to look at these. I think maybe it is time for a set...
