Medicine? No I'm not lying. It's a very different taste.
Are there still Moxie Day parades in Maine? (Moxie muffins, Moxie cakes...mmmm...) Gotta look...
Yep. They're still celebrating Moxie in Lisbon Falls:

Oz_ShadowOnly ever seen it on TV.
I used to be that way about Sundrop. I got excited when it went nationwide but then was disappointed that the diet version sat on the shelf so long in stores they were always flat. The only sell one type here now.

egregoreWhat is it like, taste-wise? If it is closer to, say, Coke, OK, but if it is more like Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pibb (two of the foulest substances on the planet), you can keep it.

zoom6zoomwell, it's hard to describe as it's been a long time since I've had it. The main flavoring is, or was, gentian root. I remember it as having a bit of licorice flavor.
At one time it outsold Coca Cola, and if I recall was the first carbonated soda sold in the US.

egregoreWe have our own locally produced, a little more than a soft but not quite an energy drink, Dr. Enuf.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Enuf It tastes similar to Mountain Dew.
