Agreed. It's blatant vote buying and shallow pandering. I didn't like it when they did this back under COVID, and I really don't want to see it happen again. The only thing handing out "free" money does is drive inflation, and it ends up costing us more in the long run than we gain.

Why not focus the campaign on substance rather than this crap? We've secured the borders, are deporting criminals, slowing inflation, turned things around in Venezuela, have had numerous victories in the courts towards getting the government out of our second amendment rights...lots of great stuff accomplished that really matters. There's no need to resort to stuff like this.

I hope you’re right. I don’t like the idea for all the reasons stated, and think it would be a really bad thing if it were done.

I have yet to see many things he’s done that didn’t makes sense, usually in some way I just didn’t see coming. In fact, I didn’t criticize the promise when it came out because I was waiting to see what he had up his sleeve that I just wasn’t seeing. Maybe it was as simple as a trolling remark. I dunno, but I have enough faith in the man to wait and see what he’s got in mind.

Congress has the power of the purse. If Republicans retain control. President Trump's promise will fail to materialize, because Congress has the Power of the Purse and they will not allow this.

In the meantime, President Trump is doing what he does best- trolling the left and throwing a hand grenade into their midst.

The Democrats have been placed in a position such that they will feel compelled to counter the offer.

Republicans just got another bad decision from the United States Supreme Court, one that the Court System took forever to give, and then blamed it, in part, on no time left to implement a solution to our totally CORRUPT and out of control Mail-In voting “disaster,” which is a laughing stock all over the World, and where we are the only country that has to endure such a Nation Destroying SCAM. Justices Alito and Thomas, legends both, strongly disagreed with this horrible, highly political, ruling. It is a big loss for Republicans, and America itself, and makes cheating by the Radical Left “Dumocrats,” on Mail-In Ballots, a much easier thing to do - And now they have an open field to do so! The Supreme Court has really let our Country down! Certain Justices are petrified of these crazed and depraved Democrats, and are totally unable to show the courage necessary to save our America. Their horrible decision on Tariffs will be costing the U.S.A., for many years to come, Trillions and Trillions of Dollars. They didn’t even state, “money paid does not have to be paid back,” much to the benefit of entities that truly hate our Country, and have been RIPPING IT OFF FOR YEARS, unnecessarily costing us, immediately, Billions of Dollars. Likewise, the Supreme Court’s Decision on Birthright Citizenship is a complete and total disaster for America, and has already led to massive corruption with respect to “citizenship” in our Country. Why did they not do this a year ago?

Yeah, why would Trump push for this so close to the mid terms? I know that he’ll get push back no matter how or when he does something, but this seems like an odd time to try and push it through.

I'm hoping he timed it this close knowing those turncoats would likely not side with him. This would be the impetus for the base to turnout and vote.

You don't actually mention exactly what you're talking about, but assuming it's re: Supreme Court decision on Mail-in Ballots. Trump has been pushing the Save America Act, which is supported by over 80% of the electorate (95% of Republicans and 70% of Democrats!), since Inauguration Day! It should've been a slam dunk, because the only people that don't support it are elected Democrats, and yet here we are. His Executive Order on this would've/should've been completely unnecessary and was more of an act of desperation than anything, as he felt he had to try to do something. And there still would've been enough time if the court(s) didn't drag out the timeline to purposefully sabotage it from having an effect on the lying/cheating ways of the America Hating Left.

I hope President Trump is right this time. I don’t think that he’ll be fooled again.
