Wild speculation nonsense. They spent $400 million to $1 billion (depending on whom you talk to) to upgrade/retrofit the Qatar plane to AF1 standards. If it were not up to AF1 “countermeasures” standards, they would never have used it in the first place.

There is no "former" Air Force One. Any fixed wing aircraft our president is in becomes Air Force One.

Not necessarily. It just means that SS is more comfortable with a known.
The new one just came out. It has many verification tests that need to be performed before it is deemed "good to go"
