There have always been one or two aholes in these hearings, but it's degraded so much it makes the US political system look bad to the world.
What should be a house of people working to achieve the best for the country even if it is a different path to it, the discourse was generally civil, albeit a few aholes since there isn't any way to eliminate that from happening.
Now it's just a sound bite circus, how you answer isn't important to them, it's bloviate, cut up into soundbites and put it on your Facetube and Instabook pages to your followers so you can keep them motivated to send money.

Bessent isn’t even allowed to give an answer to these grand standing fools, he’s constantly interrupted. Every one of these hearings has turned into a sound bite circus. There’s no point in having them anymore.

Oh no, I’ll wager 99.9% of “the world” wouldn’t know or care about the dog and pony shows that are happening within the confines of the Capitol. And most wouldn’t know the US political system, if it slapped them in the face.
“The 535 Traitors: Congress Has Forfeited Its Legitimacy and the Founders Would Know Exactly What to Do About It - The Tree of Liberty Is Dying Of Thirst”
. . .which is essentially the longer version of H.L. Menken’s quote -
“Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.”
It is a longish but worthwhile read (imho) and encapsulates what a lot of folks probably think about ‘congress’ at this point.
The beginning of the Prologue -
“George Washington did not cross the ice-choked Delaware or hold a freezing army together at Valley Forge so that a legislative class could later auction off the republic he forged.
He understood betrayal in its rawest form…the kind that wears the uniform of ally while serving the enemy.
When Major John André was caught carrying Benedict Arnold’s plans, Washington did not debate definitions or weigh political consequences.
He ordered the spy hanged.
When mutineers threatened the cohesion of the Continental Army, he did not issue stern letters.
He executed the ringleaders.
The man who became the Father of His Country carried a simple and lethal clarity…internal enemies of American liberty receive no special mercy because they once claimed to serve it.
They receive the discipline required to keep the cause alive.
That same clarity would have been turned on the 535 who now occupy the Capitol.”

After an accomplishment filled week by President Trump, I have the pleasure of reading a piece of Friday fiction, courtesy of the Daily Mail. To be crystal clear, I am not going anywhere.
I am honored and proud to serve President Trump, proud of our team and remain fully committed to advancing his agenda on behalf of the American people.
Some in the media have spent a decade trying to manufacture drama around President Trump and people who work for him. They were wrong then, and they are wrong now. See you Monday.
Saw a bit of the interview, she was pushing hard on him, everything he said was challenged or followed with "that's not true" she made sure to do that continuously. I don't know why he agrees to sit with these people at all.
That’s Trump. He doesn’t care if it’s friendly or hostile interviewer. He takes on them all and lets the people see for themselves and decide. Unlike FJB hiding in the basement, and when they let him out, he “did such a great job. He answered every question”.

Ha ha, dumb bitch. Got exactly what she deserved. Did not go like she thought it was going to go. These small thinkers just crack me up. Trump just chews these losers up and spits them out. Nice work Mr. President.
But she came all the way out to Wisconsin. Tough shit babe! This message has been edited. Last edited by: old rugged cross,

As he walked out of that interview he said "A country can never be great with a dishonest press."
Should be etched in stone somewhere. Absolutely true.

Whatever happened to the days when "journalists" respected the office of the President. Like him or not, you respect the office. These parasites openly argue with him and treat him like shit.
For the life of me, I do not understand why he wastes everyone's time even engaging with these people. He spends hours every day with this bullshit and he should just stop it.
