Apparently, the Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District did little...

40,000 pounds of ribeye steaks destroyed in tractor-trailer fire on I-44

A tractor-trailer carrying 40,000 pounds of ribeye steaks caught fire Monday morning on Interstate 44.

According to the Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District, firefighters responded Monday morning to a tractor-trailer fire near mile marker 174 on eastbound I-44.

The tractor-trailer was carrying the ribeye steaks, and according to the fire department, the steaks were "all a total loss."

The eastbound lanes of I-44 were closed temporarily while the crews responded to the fire. The lanes have since reopened.

There is no word on what caused the fire.

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Fuel, oxygen, and a spark in the same place at the same time.

Seems to be happening more and more with big loads of food, are the trucks not being maintained or is this untrained drivers?

That's a huge grease fire and they probably didn't want to spray with water because that's not what you do with grease fires, it just spreads it.

Let's see, $20/lb x 40,000lbs; cross cancel the lb leaves $ as the remaining units; 2 times 4 is 8 tack on five 0s after the 8 and we are left with $800,000.

I'd bet some made it into a cooler and on the grill later that night...

Most likely a wheel end fire from the looks of it.
Not uncommon with trailers as they don't get the best maintenance.
Working with trailers is always a shit show as they are worn completely out and need rebuilt from the ground up.
Which no one spends the money on so you get a bunch of cobbled together shit running down the road.
