Favorite “Happy” watch

AglifterFavorite “Happy” watch
My mood doesn’t really effect my clothing choice - too many years in school uniforms/work uniforms I guess.
But, I do feel that way about watches. I think I will like my UX. I do like my G-5000, and I’m deeply attached to my sub, but that’s now at the point where it will stay locked up, most of the time.
I thought about buying another sub/GMT (my sub was my late fathers, so it’s that particular one I’m attached to.)
The Sinn U50 seems like a very good alternative/I might give one to my “destroys everything/including Glocks and anvils” brother, but I think I might want something more flippant.
If I could find one for retail, I’d probably get a 50th anniversary Snoopy.
I am thinking about a Tudor Pelagos in Blue, or a Tudor chronograph in orange and blue.
The resin g shock is for my “non-watch” moods. (Some days, the Mennonite side comes out, and I can’t stand my ring, Tesla, Rolex, etc)
I might get a titanium one, though it would mean the UX would lose any purpose.

Angus the KidMy favorite happy watch is an original Seiko Orange Monster with stainless steel band.
It's almost 20 years old and still runs great.

wolfe 21I've got an old G-shock 5158 that covers all my moods... it's beat to hell and still coming back for more everyday. Currently holding its band together with duct tape and its face is all scratched up. If I was in a better mood more often, I might buy a new shiny piece. Unfortunately, this one suits me most days... dark and fucked up.
A Perpetual Disappointment...

Flash-LBSeiko Dive Watch I bought in 1977 and have worn daily ever since. 43 years old and still ticking.
It's been down to 125 feet underwater and spent hundreds of hours under and in salt and fresh water.

HobbsI wear the G-Shock (5600) most often. Thing is though, I'M happiest when not wearing a watch at all. And ya know what, Casio could not care less. The G-Shock works 24x7x365 whether I'm wearing it or not. I think it's happy to do that ... it's a dang happy watch !!!

Snapping TwigThis is my current version of that.
Total German philosophy and technology. A. Lange notes in design and philosophy. Glaschutte case manufacture, Blancpain water intrusion technology, rounded crystal and EZM style case.
Top grade 7750 with full decoration and chronometer accuracy.
Sinn is doing what Rolex used to do - making a highly durable tool watch at an affordable price with top notch QC.

chongosuerteThat Sinn is beautiful.
Mine is my Marathon Jumbo Day/Date on either its bracelet or one of several straps. It just means business. I had a GSAR for several years before I sold it for the larger version. It just makes me smile whenever I look at it. And over the last 53 days it's lost an average of 0.1 seconds per day. Can't beat that
Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here.
Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard.

AglifterI like my Sinn, but a UX is the opposite of a happy watch.

stuffgeekWhy not wear the sub? A black sub? The Pelagos unless blue would be kinda of the same watch.

P-220My happy watch is my Tag 2000 Automatic. 21 years ago my wife gave me this watch and I when I look at it, I still think "that is a great looking watch".
