Very cool, Congratulations.
I looked at doing the same and determined it was too expensive of a hobby for a set of tight asses like me and the wife.
I did full research on it and the Discovery flight. Think I would have liked it outside of the cost. Kind of wish I had more seriously considered it as a career path years ago.

I did this a few decades ago.
Even though I no longer fly, the knowledge and skills you learn on a variety of related subjects are well worth the time.
Just reading the ground school books (at a cost of almost nothing) would help most people have a much better understanding of physics, weather, and all sorts of general aviation issues.

I did this back in the 1970s.

I still say I am going to start again some day.
