Deportation vs Imprisonment.
Over the last year, we have had 3 instances of illegals raping underage girls. The suspects are currently in the Okaloosa County Jail with a tagline that says "Hold ICE" as can be seen in this example: http://www3.co.okaloosa.fl.us/...6764&InmateID=207741

I'm a bit confused about the course of action for justice. If a citizen were to commit such a crime, surely he would face a jury followed by imprisonment if found guilty. If a non-citizen is merely deported, then it is my opinion that justice has not been served.

My personal opinion is that some old school justice should be sought, but I get it that times have changed.

Anyone got a take on this?

They sometimes post that to note that if he were eligible to bond out based on the crime he is still held for immigration purposes. He would not be turned over to immigration until his court case is settled.

I feel as though the justice system does every US citizen a huge injustice in extending constitutional rights to foreigners who commit crimes here. We need to have a separate set of unbearably strict consequences for aliens, as well as severely limited due process. After we kill a few rapists, and lock border jumpers in a camp in death valley, maybe the flow would stop.

@Alyron,
So an illegal could face a prison sentence? That's better than what I thought.

xd45man. There is one particular woman who follows the NW FL Daily News FB page that I love to school on this border invader crap. Shes all for "immigration" in its current form. I call them border invaders and she thinks I'm a right-wing evil person.
She would never answer my questions about how many she is personally housing or personally supporting with her money. Not her money in the tax dollar pile but personal checks etc.
she finally went away. Been waiting for her to show up to comment about that latest one a week or so ago.

An ICE hold means that once the state is done with them, including any prison/jail sentence, ICE will transfer them to a federal facility for federal proceedings.

And as mentioned, they can't bond out or be released (assuming your jail/ state honor the hold).

Yes, as BB61 said he would first deal with the charges he was arrested for and then be deported after completing any prison sentence he is given.

When I worked in the federal prison system, we had a number of illegal aliens serving sentences with an INS hold on them. When their time was up, we'd keep them until INS showed up to ship them back to wherever. One kind of funny situation was an LA gang banger with and INS hold on him, who had been born in California. He was sweating bullets waiting on a copy of his birth certificate, not wanting to go south.

Fly them over their country, open the door and let them out.

Alaska must have some room for detention facility. I will pitch in for a few tents if that helps.

There was a study about a year or so ago with something like 35% of those serving sentences for Murder or Rape in New York state were illegals and around 50 to 65% of those serving time in Kommifornia for Murder and Rape were illegals. I want to say I heard this during a Heather MacDonald podcast or interview.

I say, show him some hospitality.

Take him fishing South of Destin.

25 miles out is the edge of the shelf and some great fishing...
