Im a Volunteer Firefighter in a small township in Southern Michigan. There are 2 departments in the township about 3 miles apart.Just got word from my son who is on the other department that 2 FF (and friends) on the other department have Covid19.One is doing ok at home at this time and one was admitted and not doing the best.A prayer for them would be appreciated.
Thank you for your prayers. The one at home has started into the 3 day no fever countdown. The one in the hospital is making a little progress on o2 but not on a vent and seems to be keeping his sats stable.More as I get it.
Good news. The one at home has been cleared to be out and about. The other was released from the hospital and sent home to continue recovery. As more info comes out it appears that this started about 2 weeks ago for the one that was admitted and about 10 days for the one at home.Still not sure if there was any common contact. So far no one else in either family has gotten it.As a side note the one at homes husband another member on my department and myself were sick with with something really different for about 3 weeks in February. I really look forward to getting the antibody test when it becomes available.Again thanks for your prayers.
Final update. The first person works as a dispatcher for a trucking company and got it from another employee. They retested negative and have returned to work. The other one got it from his wife who is a nurse. Both he and his wife have recovered but he has is still not quite up to par. Thanks for your prayers. This message has been edited. Absolutely, I just added in some the other day for all those on the front lines, be the military, LEO's, first responders and now all the support cast that are working during this time to help us keep supplied while were here at home, God bless them all. I'll definitely include your request also.
Regards, Will G.
