I know this was said before but I pictured some kind of equipment failure/homemade or other actual line tap/valve or some such. I never pictured hells version of a water park. How can anybody that has even remotely lived to reach adulthood not see that and not think nope nope nope. I mean I would be iffy being as close as the camera guy.
I mean I got nothing. It’s a horrible way to die and I am not taking any pleasure in these folks death and injury but wow talk about you only have yourself to blame.
Not that I am the kind of person to steal much of anything but if my buddies suggested this my first thought is “Good first idea, let’s put it up on the board, but hear me out. How bout we hijack a fuel truck...”

In Afghanistan they are always tapping into live high voltage wires. My favorite technique involves 3 people. 2 pull opposite directions on the wire whicle the 3rd cuts it with scissors. If nobody gets electrocuted (or after the corpse is hauled away), they splice in and steal some power.
This reminded me of that, only warmer...
