FL Man steals a Chevy Pickup, leads the VCSO on a nice chase and then decides to point his gun to his own head, then shoot at deputies as he runs into the woods.

One shot bounced off the head of one of the deputies, you can hear him say it toward the end of the video. Luckily the deputy wasn't hurt, you get to hear what it sounds like when 20 LEO's decide to open fire into the woods.

VCSO shoots at a range on west 44, the chase goes right by the range, wonder how many officers joined in from range practice Big Grin

I thought this was one of those "Google your birthdate and Florida man" gags Smile

Interesting the officer that was hit seemed to want to use his own ifak.

Watch for the high sheriff to appear in polo and khakis. Carrying around a wheel gun. Love it.

It was his ankle piece too, you can see the holster unsnapped and his pants pulled up.

Great job! That was the best play-calling and officer coordination/contingency planning on the fly I've seen.

Only the Sheriff and his khakis and snubby came close to messing it up. Get behind a car, it should be obvious to you these officers have it under control.

Great move by the officer driving the Grey Durango to cut off home-boy as he ran toward the cars stopped on the East Bound side to keep him from jacking another vehicle.

That could have gone bad very quickly.

I thought that was the best part too.

Very gutsy action on the part of the officer with the stop sticks. Totally exposed to view and vulnerable if the BG had decided a little earlier to hit him.

“ Enlightenment is man’s emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one’s own understanding without another’s guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one’s own mind without another’s guidance.”

Chitwood is sort of a clown in my opinion. His media interviews are often classless and provoking. He has the persona of a tough-guy movie cop.

He gets it from his dad while is a chief of a department just outside Philly. His dad though tells it like it is, but at times is over the top.
