My ISP has an app that shows the status of my (company provided) modems. It allows me to turn on/off the wifi, among other administrative functions, billing etc. I don’t use the company’s wifi and keep it off but modem restarts turns it on. Have at least other 40 signals around, dont need an useless one. The app stopped working on my iphone 3 months ago. Just installed on another phone and it works. Tried normal uninstall/removal, phone restart and download/setup but still not working. What can i try next? 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20

Do both iPhones have the same iOS version? That’s the first thing I’d check. Another possibility: the iPhone that works has an older version of the app, and the old version works while the current version has a bug. Serious about crackers

Second phone is Android. Let’s keep wuestion generic. How do i make sure an app goes completely away after uninstalling if reinstalling does not fix an issue? Thought reboot would do the trick but seems it doesn’t. 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20

“uninstalling“ an app does make it go “completely away”. I rank the possibilities like this: 1. The current version of the iPhone app is bad. 2. Your iOS is corrupted or out of date. 3. Your iPhone is ancient – no longer supported. Serious about crackers

iphone 12, updated last week (keep it always updated). My ISP is shitty as hell but was once and for 20 years the most convenient. Runs co-ax. If i told you tgat for at least 5 years my ISP email is bounced by MS as their servers are blacklisted and rhey couldn’t care less, would you believe it? Not wasting my time with CS as they’re not IT smart. 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20
