So I bought a shovel to dig a trench a couple months ago at Lowe's. It worked fine - fast forward to yesterday when 200 privet hedges (dormant) and 200 creeping thyme ground cover plants came in. I've been in digging purgatory. Got about 3/4 of the way done with the privet hedges when the weld on the shovel gave way. I figured I was going to have to go buy a new shovel, but then I remembered hearing that Kobalt supposedly had a replacement guarantee. I looked it up and it said 100% no questions asked guarantee. I figured it was worth a shot even though I didn't have a receipt or anything. So I tossed it in the truck and headed out since I was going to have to get something to finish digging with anyway. I took it to the service desk and showed it to the young lady and she said to go back and get another one or one closest to it if they didn't have the exact replacement. They had the exact same shovel so I took it up and she wrote down the number off of it and said have a great day. I joked with her that I was disappointed that I didn't have to rant and rave and call a manager (which I would never do) Bottom line - I didn't even look at the brand when I originally bought the shovel, it was just the one that looked the best to get the job done. I'll pay attention going forward, if this return is any indication they are serious when they say 100% lifetime guarantee. It’s been a while since we’ve had a shovel thread. Glad they took care of it for you. | |||
